Lucy is good for the concept, but it's kinda of a rip off of Limitless with Bradley Cooper. I liked it.

Gotham is getting better and better

Still up, wide awake at 5 am. Insomnia has its advantages however -- just finished Rocky I.

The Right Stuff, Braveheart, encore Braveheart, Rocky I, followed by the last hour of Highlander. This could have been the single greatest unplanned movie night ever. Touch it, who needs sleep? I'm seriously thinking about pulling an all-nighter and going to the garage for a massive weightifting session before I head to the office.

@Mav: I woke at 4 AM and am off today. Go figure. But I fell asleep at around 8 PM last night. Plan to take a hike at 6:00 AM Central later this morning. Current temp is 39F.

What happens when we combine a little ice with Austin drivers? 140 crashes in 12 hours. Yikes!

Sucks man.

I know it may sound goofy. But it may work. Go get a bell. One that has a long ring when struck. What you do. You strike the bell. Wait for the ring to die down to nothingness. As soon as the nothingness happens, you strike the bell again. Do that 10-20 times.

Greeting, D-League. It's been a while.

- Swamped at work. Don't have any time to goof off from 9-5 these days, which limits my Paddock time. What are these people thinking by actually making me earn my paycheck?

- My cable/internet/home phone bill went from $190 to $350 over the span of one month. WTF? According to the bill my high speed internet alone is now something like $170 a month. Got the bill on Friday, and of course they were already closed for the weekend by the time I got home from work and opened the mail. Can't touching wait to call these people in an hour or two and go crazy on them. And yes, I still have a land line phone.

- Happy to announce that i'm going to be a dad! Little girl on the way August 15th. I'm already self-depriving myself of sleep, so it won't be such a shock to my body when she arrives. Also trying to go ahead and start living like a poor, so it too won't be such a tough adjustment when every spare dollar goes to diapers and day care (BTW, those day care prices
).

Always lurking.
Your friend,
Norm.

I just got my DIrecTV bill, and noticed it went up. Some fee on there for having a TV connected to it. WTF? How I am I supposed to watch without a TV connected? Bunch of BS. Also, the crooks in the statehouse decided to take advantage of cheap gas and raise the gas tax $0.10/gal.

Our good car got rear-ended Friday. I've owned 4 new cars, and 3 of them have been hit by other dirvers before having 10k miles. Two of them while parked, this one while the wife was stopped at a red light. Mostly just a hassle though.

It was great to beat down the hogs Saturday. Those Arky fans were getting annoying. One more big test Tuesday, but I'm confident with this group.

Congrats Norm. Yeah, daycare is expensive. Don't put off looking for it though. I got over the price pretty quick, it was the waiting lists (some over a year for newborns) that got me. I still remember this old lady looking down her nose at me & Mrs. 93, sayig, "Your'e just starting to look for childcare.". - Um yeah, wife wanted to wait until the first trimester, so still 6-8 months befer we needed it. I told the old bitty that we were'nt gestating an elephant.

Enough complaining. 29-0. Warmer temps on the way. Daylight in the morning & daylight when I get home at night.

Cable company said that my contract expired on Feb 28, so my newest bill is the rates they charge for people not under contract.

Crooks. Basically forcing people into 2 year agreements.

Thanks, brother.

But I almost have 15,000 posts. I was bound to post a good one eventually. I mean if I threw you 15,000 curve balls I'm sure you would hit at least one. Right. Right? Mav? Mav, are you still there???

Well...maybe that's not such a good analogy.

-- considering I prolly looked at/whiffed at a good 1,000+ of them without success I'd say the odds would be distinctly out of my favor.

Lol keyboard shark.

Norm, I'll help fund your baby on my own terms. Like, I want your baby to be fly as hell, and represent the D with style, so I'll contribute funds towards a Baby Phat wardrobe collection.

I would also contribute to a Baby's First Drumset!!!! , but nothing that baby needs as a necessity, or anything educational, and whatnot.

Or a kickass wig for your newborn bald lil baby because they won't have hair yet, and why shouldn't they? Hair technology has come a long way. Your baby would like fly as hell with the right kind of hair piece.
