You would think that as many high, first round draft picks as they have had, that maybe they would have gotten lucky and had a couple of them come through and help them win. I'm not complaining though. Haha.
The Raiders consistently trot the lowest payroll in the league out on the field. They are garbage every season, not because of their top 5 to 7 players, but because they take 20 to 30 terrible players off the NFL scrap heap every season and pay them the NFL minimum.
People accused David Glass from the Royals of pocketing money every season for years while the team was garbage. Some of that criticism was warranted, but with the economics of baseball, Glass was trying to invest in the future of the organzation. It clearly worked.
