Good for him! I wish it were Lane Kiffen instead.

We're going to learn right now if the NCAA has any teeth left or if they should just shut down completely. Dabo laid all the facts out there publicly. No subtlety. No implication. Straight facts. And said he's sent it all directly to the NCAA.

How the NCAA responds to this has a lot to do with the future of the game.

We already know they're impotent. That said, Dabo has put them in a pickle and has receipts to back it up.

The telling comments were from the AD. He said tge NCAA rep stated that they were pleasantly surprised that someone finally complained and had proof. Ole Miss m8ght be made an example. Im a Tiger fan and Dabo gets on my nerves A LOT! But if it takes his willingness to make this his hill, then im cheering him on. Im hopeful that if Ole Miss gets hit, that otber coaches will feel empowered enough to bring proof. As smaller schools, if rules aren't put in place we will never be major contenders again. So the rivalry aside, pull for this to work!!

I wonder if Beamer will publicly side with Dabo. I’m not sure it’s needed but the more coaches speak up, the greater the chance change will ensue.
I doubt it. Look, I hate the current system, but there are better ways to attempt to effect change. I’m actually on Dabo’s side with this one. Unfortunately, I think the way he’s gone about things is going to ostracize him/his program. I don’t think any football players in the market for a new team are watching that press conference and saying, “Yes. That. That’s what I want out of a football program.” Mark my words, coaches will use this against him.

I’ve not seen any better attempts yet but Dabo might just have opened the door for change to take place.

And how else was he to go about it? Quietly turn evidence over to the NCAA so they could sit on their hands and do nothing?

By holding a press conference, he’s put Golding/Ole Miss on notice AND put the NCAA in the spotlight. If the NCAA does nothing, it seals their fate as a toothless entity.

Let's hear the better way? If it's a behind the scene attempt, it simply wouldn't work. Unfortunately, this is the only way.

Named every name. Dates. Times. Dollar figures.

Dabo's the last real man in college football. This is a brilliant timeline he gives. Only question: does the NCAA actually have penalties established for tampering?

We can all say what we want to about Dabo, call him a cheerleader and whatever, but he is the first coach i have seen that has the brass balls to do this. Good for him and hopefully good for college football.

Brass balls, maybe, but he also has the luxury of being completely KMA at this point in his career. He's one of only two active coaches with multiple national titles and has made enough money that neither he nor anyone in the next two generations of his family tree need to work a day in their lives again. He's the perfect guy to deliver this message and I hope it gives courage to some other coaches to come forward. College football in its current state is unsustainable and EVERYBODY knows it. Dabo just pointed out what everybody knows. The emperor has no clothes.

Clearly breaking down into 2 camps on X:

Camp 1: Good for Dabo for calling this out. Now it's up to the NCAA to do something about it.

Camp 2: Dabo's a baby. Everyone's doing it. He needs to get with the program.

While the NCAA has been feckless for a long time, it is the lawyers and liberal courts that have not allowed the NCAA to operate in many cases .... I applaud Dabo for this ... he has shown true integrity and character ... I suspect Beamer wholeheartedly agrees and I believe many out there do as well ... schools like Ole Miss, LSU, Miami, and so many others sicken me ...

I do suspect other coaches agree, but as Dabo said in his presser yesterday (separate video from above), if other coaches aren't going to speak up about it, then they need to shut up. It would tip the scales if you had a handful of other coaches come out and speak publicly as well.

Problem, most of them probably have dirt on each other.

Often times, after the first person takes that step forward, others do follow and I suspect many will do so ... now, not those who are guilty as all get out and putting this in a text is foolish and just shows how rampant this has been for a long time ... will be an interesting watch ... I am not a fan of Clemson at all, but I do respect what Dabo has done here and would stand with him ...

Is there actually an NCAA rule against tampering and penalties established?

Maybe Dabo sets off a few other coaches, and something actually happens. I have my doubts.

I think the NCAA, due to the public nature of how Dabo handled it, wont just sweep it under the rug. However, I think whatever punishment comes will probably be a token gesture ate best.

I just have little faith in the NCAA to do anything right.

They will dock them two scholarships or something.

I gave him credit for exposing the fact that Golding is as big a POS is Kiffin. By the same token, it’s pretty hypocritical of him to sit there for 20 minutes, whining about Ole Miss “tampering”, when for years they’ve been circumventing the system and filtered money to their athletes through the NewSpring Church.

Strange that nothing has come out of ole miss or coach response wise ???
He did respond by picking up a few more high profile transfers this weekend. One, a Miami OL.

His response is the middle finger to Dabo, the NCAA and the fans wanting change.

We'll see if the NCAA has the balls to address. I doubt it. I was pulling for this coach a few week's back. Now I want to see him go down. How quickly things change.
