Hey gang, well, the whole Santa façade was shattered ON Christmas morning, DURING the opening of gifts. The older one realized the whole thing was a fraud thanks to some carelessness by yours truly. So a few hours later, we found her crying and then the dam broke: Easter Bunny, Elf on the Shelf(which we didn't do), Tooth Fairy, the whole bit. Made for a pretty terrible Christmas Day for her, honestly. By the next day, she was over it and was kinda thinking it was cool that now she could play along for her sister's sake. Still, that was brutal. That was truly the first "she's not our little girl anymore" moment of my life, and it hit hard.
Now we're trying to decide what to do with our youngest for spring sports season. We want her to play SOMETHING, and she needs to be active, but we can't decide between soccer and softball. Oldest plays softball, and we like softball much better in general, so there's an advantage to having them both at the ballpark instead of running between two places. On the other hand, she's been playing soccer and it's good for her, active-wise, and she actually showed that she can play a little bit.
Finally, we have had that Disney Infinity(2.0) game for a year or so, and they've played it here or there. But I bought a couple of Marvel characters on sale the other day, and now they're hooked. Guess I should've known that it would be different playing as Iron Man or Black Widow vs. Tinkerbell and Stitch.
