Our second highest ranked wrestler who is also wrestling in the NWCA All Star match is Josh Kindig. He was the surprise last year at the NCAA's placing second after coming in ranked 11th. The weight appears to be pretty loaded at the top. He will face the top ranked wrestler in Tsirtsis at the All Star match. He will face the former top ranked wrestler in Houdashelt of Missouri and Iowa's Grothus. Two wrestlers ranked ahead of Josh in some polls are Hunter Steiber who was a redshirt last year and Devin Carter who finished second at 141. Chris Villalonga was ranked 3rd heading to NCAA's with Sueflohn ranked 6th. Rounding out the top 9 is David Habat who finished fourth last year.
Josh will get his chance to show where he stands. It will be interesting as this weight class includes schools from several conferences so you won't see a lot of matchups during conference scheduling. I tend to think Josh has found his weight and his style will help him be successful. However, just based on the depth I think it will be difficult to predict a final's placing. I will say All-american status with an outside chance of making the finals.
