Dakari stepped up big from the free throw line. Don't win game without them

Dakari Johnson has seemed to struggle in games this year because I think he's getting used to playing with his new body. I think we really need him to get those quite double/doubles or close to them again. With that said, I thought he really played big down the stretch and I'm so happy he did. Dakari is my favorite player on the team so hopefully this gives him confidence to do those things as the season progresses on.

Hope he gained confidence at the end (had a nice post move, good FT's) because he looked lost the first 35 minutes.

Yes, Dakari's free throws were HUGE! Between his fts and Ulis' big three, that's why we're talking about a win instead of a loss. And Lyles hitting those 2 huge fts at the end of the first OT or we're not even going to a second OT.

If there is a positive to take away from this game, it's that several guys stepped up under pressure and made plays and shots for the win.

he has good touch actually. when you're that big it's not easy. he usually misses one early then finds the range. he's done this the other two times he went to the line a lot. he can burn you if you put him their 10 times.

He just doesn't seem like the old aggressive Dakari. I really hope he gets back to it. The team needs him to elevate his game. KAT will get there, but right now Dakari has to become that inside scorer we are missing. He doesn't seem like he's trying to hurt you with a dunk. Like I said, he's my favorite player on the team, but he hasn't gotten it going lately(not consistently)

He does . Someone said Dakari was the worse FT shooter in UK history today and i said the same thing you did. He just needs to be consistent. That game where he shot 12-14 from the line showed he can make em.

Yes especially Lyles after how he did against Ole miss at the end. I was sooo nervous b/c you either make both or miss both going 1 for 2 in that situation means nothing .

I was even happier to see Lyles knock down the last pair. He needed to get that out of his head, considering today was the third time he missed a pair when it was pretty important that he make them.
