I am 55 and for the first time in my life, I am honestly afraid for America
We have a national election between a crook and a complete buffoon (for the record, I am a Republican and ashamed of my party for nominating Trump)
We have law enforcement officers being gunned down in cold blood, which can only lead to anarchy (see, e.g., Chicago and Baltimore)
Yet . . . the video from Minnesota where a man who was a cafeteria supervisor for a Montessori School was shot to death in broad daylight in front of his girl friend and four year old daughter while reaching for his registration. Who wouldn't be outraged by that? So how can you be surprised at the anger in black communities, especially when that kind of **** happens all the freaking time.
We have a political system completely purchased by large well funded special interests. And that includes Coal, Oil, the Defense Industry, NRA, et al
We have 47% of the country who basically pay no taxes. Gov. Bevin just spoke at a group I was in, and stated that the value of benefits to a Kentuckian who doesn't want to work is like $13.75 an hour. So unless you pay $15/hr or more, it is better to sit on your ***.
The level of political discourse has never been more angry and less civil
I am afraid
