Dallisgrass

I imagine Satan's lawn is nothing but this stuff.

With the massive amount of rain we've had in North Texas (not complaining) dallisgrass has just spread like crazy even if you get your lawn treated. From everything I've read even digging it up is a waste of time because not only do you have to go down damn near a foot but some of the rhizomes will be left in the soil and eventually grow back. Is the only way to kill them to use weed killer and seed the giant hole in the lawn where the weed killer destroyed everything?

I have Bermuda, was probably just going to go scorched earth this weekend on these 7 or so new clusters in the yard and then use EZ Seed after laying down a layer of peat moss. Suggestions? Thoughts?

Should work only other suggestion I would give is to maybe dig up a little of the soil also so you make sure to get all the grass killer.
