I saw that on a Tomorrow program with Tom Snyder about 30 years ago. I don't think he stayed one, but he did spend some time in uniform.

Eddie Haskell was one of television's greatest icons....and in reality was a nice guy.
The age difference between Wally and Beaver (5 years) was the same as my older brother and me. Fortunately, my brother never had a "friend" like Eddie.

I think there was a little Eddie Haskell in all of us! On our best behavior around the adults, but behind their backs, you gave the little brother a hard time or planned some devious escapades with your buddies! RIP Mr. Osmond!
