Lost to Ok today. Will our resume plus the Omaha appearance last season get us in? So many what could have been games. Pitching particularly the relievers hurting us. I think we lead in 28 of 31 sec games but couldn’t finish. Won 13. Like to see UK get 1 more chance to put it all together.

Has to find some people who can get hits w/runners on base as well. This team has been horrid as of late with RISP and in late-game situations. So many close calls that could end up costing us a spot in the tourney.

If we had a top drawer closer like Trevor Gott from a number of years ago who made it to the major leagues, we would have won 5 or 6 more games.

This season never seemed to come together in all departments other than SS and a starting pitcher or two.

No consistency. Even when we thought we might have something we would drop a mid-week or a series we shouldn't have.

Mingione was pretty confident at the SEC tournament we had already done enough to get in. I’m afraid there maybe a reality check coming. Hoping for the best ! Go Cats !

We have a very talented young team. If we can keep the players that played this year, next year will be fun.

Looking very dicey this morning...I have some quibbles with some of the teams projected in ahead of us (Oklahoma State, Arizona state, et al), but UK has zero leg to stand on in terms of whining about being excluded. Win one damn game against vandy or one of these endless string of one run losses. Just win one of them and we are comfortably in the tournament.

Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst...

Well looks like publications aren't always right.
I guess the coach might know what he was talking about (crazy talk I know because everyone knows fans are always smarter than any coach) and no check in the mail.
The dice came up winner.
Seems we were comfy .
I guess the committee felt sorry for us or wanted to screw someone else.

Maybe, just maybe there is some wisdom in those words that said nothing is ever as good as it seems or as bad as it seems.

I believe it was the late Joaquin Andujar that said "You can sum up the game of baseball in one word : you never know"

They wound up a 3 seed so can’t say they were in comfortably. The 4s are the small schools typically.
