Yep, bash the player that got us to 9 wins under a loser like Mike Riley. Without him, Riley's record would have been a helluva lot worse than .500.

Tommy did everything he could for Nebraska in a less-then ideal situation....I guess I don't see the point of doing anything other then supporting him and hoping he does really well now.
I don't know of a single person in this forum that treats him like a 4-time All American. Is it that difficult to admit that he benefitted our team more than being a liability? Why is this concept so difficult for people to understand?

How about just quit being a *****, and realize that TA benefitted our team much more than many other players on the team. The guy always came to play. Every Saturday..
TA was devoted to the team and literally gave his body for them; one of the few to not quit against OSU. I still tear up seeing him get carted off via ambulance...

I agree with your general sentiment, but still maintain that with proper fundamentals of carrying the ball in his outside arm, Tommy Armstrong would not have been carted off at Ohio State. Maybe that makes me a bad person because it was the very first thing I noticed live when he was injured.
Armstrong was a gamer in the wrong system. Loved what he brought to the game and always felt sorry for him.

Armstrong wasn't a great QB, but his biggest crime in the minds of some posters is that it turns out he wasn't the main problem with the Mike Riley Shitshow. Remember how everything was going to click beautifully just as soon as that darned Tommy Armstrong was gone and Riley could hand the keys to a "real" QB? And then 2017 happened.
