Just like the PSU Frosh that killed us a couple weeks ago. But Buie looks like a much better ballhandler than that guy.Low release point on his jumper......
Agree but didn't we have a guy with a similar release, who was all conference?Low release point on his jumper......
That's 'cause the kids all emulate Steph these days.Low release point on his jumper......
Sure wish Bryant hadn't.That's 'cause the kids all emulate Steph these days.
Looks good. He can back up Ash!I don't see his release point being low at all. Looks like he lets it go at about one o'clock. Shurna was below two o'clock.
My think on shooting form has evolved. It's easy to confuse a push shot with the modern Curry shot. Curry, Buie and others...not a push shot. They are super smooth shots and the release point is exactly the same as the conventional jumper we heralded twenty years ago.
At the end of the day, it's about the transfer of power from the feet to the ball.
The issue with Shurna was that his was so low that when he went to NBA camps he got blocked by guys four inches shorter. But his mechanics are otherwise perfect. I don't think it's that big of a deal for a shooter who has excellent release mechanics like Shurna to raise his release point. And so he did.

He ain't no Larry Bird.I don't see Steph having a particularly low release
It seems like Vic never bends his elbow when he shoots. I am always amazed he can get the ball to the basket from 20 feet with that form. It may explain why his shooting tanked when he hurt his leg earlier. His shot is all legs.He ain't even no Vic Law.
You didn't hear the news? I won't spoil your day then..Looks good. He can back up Ash!
