Well: There goes the neighborhood.
There are a hand full of great games this week - highlighted IMO by Stevenson vs Libertyville...but next weekend things really get hot...here goes:

10.44 (NR): Phillips: It’s hard to deny something is going on at Phillips. Speed, coaching, and size...check, check, check. This one is controversial to doubt, not only does the inclusion of Phillips result in the panel’s first ever 4a team, but it also means the exclusion of any DVC teams (spoiler)…next in was NV. To some extent, Philips gets in because the panel does not know what to do with NV/NC/WV (all of which received at least one vote/split votes)…In the end, one of these teams will climb back in…but for now, 4a Phillips gets the spotlight.
9.3 (9.3) HC: Through five weeks, HC’s lowest PF is 41…their total PF is 230 - tat's a damn impressive number. This week’s opponent is Proviso West who twice lost this season when giving up 41 points or more…my guess is this week becomes the third. Takers? Ok, let’s double down…next week HC gets GW...I say HC scores less than 41 in that game.
9.11 (NR) Libertyville: Well looky here….Newt’s been on this all season. Here’s the deal, so far Libertyville's competition has been just so-so, but their PF
A is 186:35, second only to Bartlett frosh from a decade ago…In what is likely the game of the week, Lady Liberty gets cousin Steve @ Steve's house….if you are following closely, you will have noticed Stevie, despite winning last week dropped out of the DSR….Curiously, this week ten voters ranked Libertyville (and did not rank Steve) while only Bones ranked Steve (and did not rank Liberty) …but we all know bones is the resident sandbagger…basically, the board is all in on Libertyville defeating Stevenson this week…how exciting!
8.22 (10.1) OPRF: OPRF’s DSR rank equals the time in percentage in which they spent preparing for this week’s opponent, York….The remaining 91.8% was spent studying for next week's opponent, GW…whom by the way, OPRF gets at home…yatzee. Damn...think I'll be in attendance.
5.67(7.3) JCA: Well, hmm. This week got a lot more interesting. With MCC defeating Naz, suddenly the ESCC got a lot more competitive. MCC PF: 139, JCA PF: 158; MCC PA: 67, JCA PA: 48…no common opponents. MCC got a vote this week from the panel…beat JCA and they will get a few more…JCA gets MCC this week then Naz next…luckily, both at home. Man the next few weeks are going to be fannnntastic.
5.56 (6.4) MC: Uh oh, the panel puts Caravan behind Bronco. Interestingly, the voters had a ton of trouble with MC this week. Six voters had MC at 6 or 7 while the remainder had them at 3 or 4. Rambl will love this. However, there is logic behind it. There are two schools of thought: Some look at MC and say, well, they have a solid defense, played a decent schedule, and are undefeated in the Blue. The other school is…we’ve seen this MC team before, solid defense, capable offense…and capable of turning the ball over a lot. Thus the split. Rice in two weeks should finally resolve this issue.
4.33 (5.8) Montini: Rumor is along with 7a, Bronco gets a date with a young MC team next season. When the two play, this rank will be all that is on their minds. Leo, St. Joes...then finally SF....more on Bronco when we get there.
3.44 (3.2) GW: Again...GW’s rank equals the exact amount of time by percentage that GW spent prepping for Lyons this week. The remaining 96.6% was spent preparing for the following two weeks: HC and OPRF! As I posted previously, IMO, these will be the toughest two regular season games back-to-back for GW in recent history. ………….>>
1.89 (2.5) MW made an appearance this week: I hate to say it, cause it’s the Blue, but LA should be on cruise now until week 9. Week 9, IMO, though, is way more important to MC for seeding reasons…
1.11 (1.1) HF: Four weeks ago I really looked forward to the Brook-HF game, now... Bones? I’m at an interesting crossroads however: This week, GoldenDome boy opined on Edgy that HF was the most talented team in IL in the last 20 years, if not longer…while on Twitter, Throrton alum, variant, @onutwo64 let me know that Thorton has more talent at every position than does HF…I don’t know what to do now! Interestingly, thorton is 4-0, with a PF to PA of 153-6. Thorton plays LWW in two weeks, I’ll be watching for you Thorton alum!
as always...point out mistakes, but please excuse the grammar...
We encourage your thoughts and individually stand ready to defend.
