Dash cams

Driving in Somerset's insane and so I'm looking at getting a dash cam.

Anybody have one? Any advice? I've looked at a couple of different ones online but I don't know a darn thing about 'em and oddly, I don't know anyone who has one or knows anything about them.

Got one for my mom for x-mas. That's it. Thats all I got for ya. (I set it up for her. Next time i rode with her it was in the glove box. I set it up 3 more times. She wore me down. I quit.)

The driving here's not great but nothing specific. It's just that it's not a huge investment and I think it's probably better to have one than not.

I've had one for about 3 years or so. Never needed it so far, but you never know. All it takes is one time to prove the other party is lying to save you from a large sum of money. I look at it like insurance, but no premiums. The one I own is this VIOFO A119 V3. It is one of if not the best 'bang for buck' cameras. I've had no problems with mine, and would recommend it to anyone.
