Great game. Both of these teams are good shooters. Jacob Gilyard would look great and purple. Drives the ball, shoots well, finds his teammates. Most importantly they get up there and hit their free throws. If our team had the same moxie we would be in the post-season

The NCAA Committee likes to stick it to the Mid-Majors, so it would not surprise me if they screw Davidson.

Not only did Davidson get in, they got a decent seed.
Davidson got a matchup against Michigan State. Davidson’s leading scorer Foster Loyer was overmatched in three seasons in the B1G at Michigan State, but has thrived at Davidson.

What’s particularly interesting is that the guy now running point — the spot that Loyer would have held — is Tyson Walker, who transferred in this year from Northeastern. Walker’s been fine. Both guys are undersized, listed at 6-0, 170.

Loyer will be keyed up, I presume. He was bad in the championship game. I’m picking the Wildcats.

A lot of people view this as an upset waiting to happen.

I did not see any part of this game but Chris Mooney, Richmond's coach, starred at Princeton. I assume Richmond uses a lot of the Princeton offense. If my memory serves me well, he played the high post, the critical position in the Princeton O-turn and shoot, backdoor pass

A good read about the Princeton "O" is Pete Carrill's "The Smart Take from The Strong". Princeton was successful with it and Sacramento was an efficient scoring team in the NBA when he was an assistant. Geoff Petrie was Sacramento's President and brought in PC as an assistant to install the Princeton "O"
