Even his rivals page still lists him as just a verbal - despite being assured by Richie.
Don't blame posters because Rivals isn't updating their own public facing pages or Rutgers (for some unknown reason) changed the process every other school follows.

I don't know if you remember years ago, there was a "WR recruit" out of Long Branch who was sort of doing that on these boards. Under a different board name he kept claiming a bunch of offers that didn't exist and an eventual commitment to Ga Tech that never happened if I recall correctly. Others may remember too.

I remember another kid (Kevin Hart) from Nevada held a press conference to announce his commitment. Ultimately, he committed to Cal, and later when the press contacted the HC for comment, he said, "Who?" Hart said he got caught up in the hype of receiving a few standard recruiting letters from Pac-12 schools. He was too embarrassed about the situation to correct people he wasn't a big-time recruit. It ultimately got out of hand.
