is rumored on 247 to be the latest HS student to commit to NU. He has offers from MSU and ASU, as well as Minny. On tape, he looks long and athletic with a frame capable of adding weight. He is strong and quick, but is a tad slow off the line and grabs a lot of air. Long can help with his tackling and his break from scrimmage and the raw talent level looks good. If the rumors are true, he could be a good pass-rushing DE to have as a project in the pipeline.

Offer list says it all. MSU, Minnesota, Indiana in the Big Ten, plus GA Tech, Baylor, Pitt, ASU. Cincinnati is no slouch in Ohio recruiting, either.

Jaiden would be a wonderful addition to this class.

Not going to happen - end of discussion.
You're searching all over the internet looking for nuggets of recruiting info on NU football, when the most complete source for that info is one tab over on The Rock. It doesn't really matter to me, but I find it funny that people start threads here asking questions and speculating about recruits when the answers are often right over there on The Rock.

This was an extremely weird response
For the last several months, perhaps for as much as a year, we have been reading these posts encouraging us to join the Rock. I am sure that you Rock members learn things before the rest of us and have some wonderful internet chats. I do not begrudge you any of that, and nothing regarding NU football is so time sensitive that I cannot wait a day or two to learn about it. Fortunately, your wonderful world behind the gold door (Frazier Crane reference) is not the only forum open to us. We should be able to share news and discuss things related to the program on this site as well. Some of you seem to want to discourage us by failing to respond and referring us to the Rock. I find that a bit off-putting. It will be a hot day in Antarctica before I pay for any internet content. And by the way, if it is my go***m lawn, I have every right to keep you off of it.

Referring you to the pay board where you can get precisely the information you're looking for, which is available only to paying members? And where there's other informative discussion? Heavens me, the sin!

I appreciate them reaching. I have one rivals subscription, not paying for another to see a board.

He is OK with a little delay. It is a reasonable position. He will get the information soon enough

It is his choice. The info shows up soon enough. While the cost or other factors might be reasonable or worth it to you, to him it is not. His choice.

And this is how good journalism dies...No one wants to pay for it, while the so-called free internet is full of rumors and "fake news."

This is perfectly reasonable. What isn’t reasonable is expecting to have paying members sharing the information that they are paying for with the free board because someone asked a question which they have the answer to via paid content. Sorry, free board is really not free. Somebody has to pay to keep the lights on and pay that massive stipend to Lou.

Honestly, it gets confusing when the same topics are discussed on both boards. The easy solution is pay members stay on the pay board and non-paying members stay on the free board. Keeps it nice and clean.

BTW- can someone please direct me to any other NU boards with robust discussion. I would like to participate. Don’t send the Inside NU nonsense.

No one really had to pay for the newspaper as it was paid for by the ads in it. It was up to the paper, etc to sell those adds.

Really, you got the paper delivered to your house for free? I feel like a sucker, all those years I paid for the benefit of reading the paper.

Lou has a two-figure expense budget, I am sure. How else do we get these "I Predict" threads that somehow always turn out to be true?

It's OK to support something you get value from and can afford. That's why, for example, I send a contribution to Wikipedia every so often. Also, not to suggest that anyone on this Board does this, but I am not a fan of sharing illegal internet content like films, subscriptions, etc. People's livings depend on those payments. To each his own.

I'm sorry? And this means the non-subscribers can't ask the question? Or if they do, they have to met with the same demeaning comment implying that they aren't worthy of an answer? How about not commenting if you don't want to answer and see if others feel differently?

Let me be clear - no one expects paying members to share information they don't want to. But god forbid that someone else who may have some insight think differently and want to share!

Quit all your haggling about the Rock.

This thread was suppose to be about the wonderful news that Jaiden has become a Cat. Great news for him and for us.

You are ruining that with this unnecessary arguing. If you really must argue about something take it over to the Rant Board. Not here in this thread.

Welcome Jaiden! Looking forward to you having a great career in Purple.

Sorry but it is up to Rivals to sell the adds that can keep the lights on. Many organizations have done so successfully. That they haven't means that they have had to develop a different business model.

There is value in both boards

Actually once someone has paid to get some information, it is theirs to do with what they want

There is no problem at all with not wanting to join The Rock. He asked a question that had already been answered and someone replied in a "hey man! You should join The Rock, a lot of good stuff over there for what you're looking for!" type tone and he responded all pissed off that it was even suggested

You're still arguing about the Rock after I encouraged you all to stop and return to congratulating Jaiden instead. That's what this thread was suppose to be about.

So let me help you here. Some people think the Rock is worth the money, some don't. That's it. Nothing more to say. This has become a big pissing contest over nothing.

I wish, but I doubt Jaiden has a subscription to the Rock. Try his Twitter feed.
