Well, we may get him in a year or two on the rebound.

Seriously, the benefit of not getting excited about signers is that you conversely dont care if we miss out on them......initially.

What???

''This is a bit of a surprising commitment, given the fact that his father is on the strength and conditioning staff at South Carolina. For that reason, the Gamecocks have always been viewed as the heavy favorite to land him. However, that doesn’t mean his father wasn’t guiding his son to potentially play college football somewhere else.''

Nice, dad. Appreciate it.

If I’m Beamer, dad’s on borrowed time.
No kidding, his dad should just go on and pack his bag and move to Michigan. He just did a huge infomercial telling kids they should go to Michigan cause there’s nothing like it. WTH.

In the old days, his dad would announce he got a new job offer from UM with a big raise.

No need for that anymore though.
I bet he ends up at Michigan soon. How hard is it to add someone to your strength and conditioning staff? That would be chump change. If you read the article, it sounds like his heart is already there.

It would have been nice, I haven’t
Seen a high school defensive player disrupt an offense like he did in that 5A state championship game. Got to let your kid make his own decision on that one or you’ll regret it!

Weather will be a different animal than he is used to.
He probably didn't make his OV when there was 2 feet of snow on the ground and -2 degrees.
Wardrobe overhaul will need to be made for sure.

So, how much $$$ will he be making?
Probably not enough to offset what he would have / could have made here when he cancels out all the flights, traveling, moving, new wardrobe for the arctic, ...... but, as Ron White said, "You can't fix stupid."

Dad was hired in 2023, probably as a move to get his kid to come. This sounds like some rec league BS, making daddy a coach so junior will be on the team.
