Deadwood Movie (spoiler free)

Not sure what I was expecting, but I was a little bit let down. I was really looking forward to it. I thought they did a good job of making it feel like the show. The characters/actors were all consistent, and felt like the same characters. The dialogue was also consistent. It felt like just an extra long episode of the show. I guess I expected it to be more than that since they clearly went to a lot of trouble to make the movie.

I think the main reason I didn't love it is that almost all the characters seemed to be the same as they were when the show ended. They all looked 10 years older, but it was as if nothing of significance happened to them during the 10 years.

I expected more. Didn't really have much of a plot in my mind and didn't really resolve anything. Seemed like just another mid season episode. Felt kind of like they were obliged to give every character ten minutes of screen time. I give it a C.

Didn't do much for me and I had pretty low expectations. Not much else but a couple hours down nostalgia lane.
