If you truly love this once proud program, if you care at all about the future of Cardinal Basketball, if you have an ounce of pride and compassion in you then please, please do the honorable thing and resign so that the program, players and fans can once again look forward to a brighter future than what we now see. For you to do otherwise will only cause further damage to everyone who cares passionately for the UofL Cardinal Basketball Program. You claim you love these young men and you want to help them heal. I trust your word on this but by now you have to recognize that even your best efforts are not achieving this goal. If you love them….let them go.
We all make mistakes. Many of us have bitten off more than we can handle before. It happens. Say you tried, say you did your best, say you love the program and you wish them only the best. Then….step away. The program simply cannot continue on its current path and you, more than anyone, can help change this by stepping aside and letting new and proven leadership take over.
