Calipari’s last remaining stain on the program will be erased on Dec. 13 when the Kentucky-Indiana series returns to the court. I’m among those thrilled that Calipari is long gone, and I’m fired up that the series is back on. UK vs UofL is a rivalry, but Kentucky vs Indiana is The Rivalry. Should have never been halted. Go Cats!

We should've never agreed to play IU again. Their program desperately relishes playing us because its their best tether to relevance.

If a foe is drowning, you damn sure don't throw them a lifeline and that's exactly what this series is.

We have nothing to gain and everything to lose.
Kentucky needs the win worse than Indiana

Well, that's an issue bc we haven't executed in any Quad 1 games thus far.
0 and 4 this year and 1 and 8 in last 9 is terrible but Indiana does not look very good in the couple games i watched them play this year

North Carolina looked like *** when they played us but what made that even more crappier is we played like bigger *** and they beat us in Rupp! So I wouldn't put it past IU to take care of business either.

You gotta love fans who just watched the last month of truly awful college basketball, still point to Calipari as their boogeyman.

And the rivalry halted because Indiana fans are trash. IU wanted Kentucky to play there and it was a literal safety hazard last time. We offered to do neutral site games, and they didn't want to. When a program like Indiana is so obsessed with beating Kentucky, that their fans turn to raving lunatics, I can see why playing a home and home isn't exactly beneficial to us.

You have nothing to fear, but fear itself.
We will win that game here.
I was very confident too until I watched UK play with little heart and minimal effort while watching the much less talented IU team play with fire and heart.

UK should win the game but their effort has to change or this game will be another embarrassing loss.

IU is a good team this year and they will put up points, running what looks like the same offense that we are trying to run..but better atm.

Can't stand anything about them but don't underestimate them. We'll have to play very well to win and we all know that we haven't been doing that at all.

This will be like the Indiana and Kentucky football games in the 90's. They both are equally bad and will display a lot of horrible basketball.

Not to mention the low life's spitting on our fans after their their big (ref aided) win during the 2011-2012 season.

why did the IU and UK football teams in the 90s play basketball against one another?

I would assume that was really ugly basketball…was it televised?

😉🤣

I was glad it ended and I would never have restarted it. December 13 is going to be an Indiana slaughter of this UK team in Rupp. Enjoy! The series couldn't have restarted at a worse time.

I get the history, and I get the importance of wins against P4 teams this year, but if I'm being honest, I just don't care about paying IU. They're pretty irrelevant these days. They've not even been the best program in their state for years.

It wouldn’t shock me if we beat Indiana and it creates a false sense of improvement only for Pitino and Alabama to whisk all the remaining hope we have for this team away.

I’ve been very cynical about this team, but even I’m not about to admit that Indiana is better than our disaster of a team. That could change, of course. And boy will that game hit most Kentucky fans like a truck if we lose.
