seems like it would be since the player broke the contract..
alot of these players wanted the big bucks, so it's more buisness now and we have to operate like the bama's..
not run a charity program.
As I understood it once the player enters the portal AND has contact with any other team, the school is then under no obligation to honor the previous scholarship. BUT of course the school can honor that scholarship IF it wants to do so and the player can return IF there is mutual agreement.

I don’t believe that’s the case at all. My guess is they’re going to do everything they can to help Mickey and his family navigate this mess. Keeping him on the payroll for a while is a drop in the bucket. It’s the right thing to do.
You could very well be right. Pure speculation on my part.
