I’ll preface this as complete conjecture and just a little talking instigation.

But, if people here don’t think Wrestlers, their parents and media read these boards…you’re crazy.

Dee went out completely different tonight and went after it. That’s more of what should be expected out of this guy!

I don't know what the first sentence means. Talking instigation? I agree with everything else but not sure what parents and media reading the boards has to do with Dee putting on a good show tonight?

You forgot coaches 😂. That was an excited Dee tonight. The Perry dynamic and him training with Carr in Ames in the past definitely had him pumped up to go tonight. He needs to find away to bring that all the time

This could be said every day on every thread and it still wouldn't be said enough.

IMO everyone should begin with the assumption that the wrestler and their family will be reading the post you make about them.

That change of direction takedown he had was so freaking slick. I think that’s why we’ve all been frustrated/confused because we know he has the game but he hasn’t really seem to show it. Between the double to win Friday and some of his stuff yesterday it’s finally coming out. Hope that continues!

That’s why I try to not talk crap on a guy if results aren’t what I might have expected. I try to only dog on guys doing bad things (bad sportsmanship, off-mat issues, etc.).

Yeah, it’s not productive. One thing is for certain…every guy wants to go out and light up the scoreboard.

Defense is significantly easier than offense. In this day of Wrestling, attacking without regard to counters and scrambles can get you scored on.

These guys are working hard to be the best. That’s what we as fans have to want. You shouldn’t focus on the 7 minutes you get to see without being aware of the 80 hours of work and the other 85 hours of mental preparation that go into a match.

There has to be some type of balance to message boards and just because someone is right about something doesn't always mean it needs to be said.

I also think if a parent or athlete isn't wise enough by this day and age to simply stay away from message boards then you have to take the good with the bad. I wish it weren't this way but sadly the genie is out of the lamp.

We (I) can definitely be better though about unrelenting/unrealistic criticism, however if we can't give an opinion about the matches then we might as well shut down the site.

Now in regards to Dee, IMO he just has his own style, would I prefer to see him be more aggressive offensively, yep. He's more than capable of doing so but it also takes time to adjust to college from HS, no matter how many world competitions you have done. I think we are all hopeful that the win again UNI kind of establishes more confidence in Dee that he can get a TD more easily than he thinks. He looked like a different wrestler against ISU. Everyone seems to be improving and if anyone isn't I'm sure the coaches are more than well enough aware what's in the room and what options are available.

I had a good view of Perry the whole night. That lard @SS was about to have a coronary the first 4 matches. After that he just sat there hating life the rest of the dual. :ROFLMAO:

As far as using real names the Admins know who we all are for the most part. If something really bad was said it gets deleted anyway. Hell if you want negativity just jump on twitter for 5 mins.

Thanks for that I was wondering how he was acting while they were getting throttled.

I logged out of my twitter 2 years ago and I don't see any of it thank god.

I sit next to the opposing coaches.

He was very involved in the matches and yes, his BP had to have been high.

I hope he’s doing okay!? He’s not a bad dude, just heartbroken.

Has to be a weird situation for Perry, I can't imagine being in his shoes sitting in GIA and watching that dual!

Chris Perry was one of the best Cowboys of all time. I will always remember his upset in the finals of the Oklahoma monster at NCAA's where he beat his opponent soundly. He coached for a lot of years and would still be if he had the opportunity. Him and Coleman were really hurt and are likely rebounding as best they can.

Wasn't he the one responsible for the Fix situation? I remember him being implicated but don't remember the situation with the Osterine

Any podcasting in your future? I recently revisited an old Stalemates episode with you and Fellers and it was great

We moved to AZ and are slowing life down some now at 51. Zach (stalemates) had a daughter now so he's stepped away for the most part. In a year or two once his daughter gets a little older if he's wanting to do something again I will jump on with him .

Agree, Chase.

Chris P. is a good guy and was a great Cowboy.
Speaking of staff I have been looking for progress of our wrestlers and I am thinking that our team might have made more progress than any team in history. Much of this is tied to having so many great true freshmen wrestling. Comparing November 3rd to the latest flo rankings we have our 10 wrestlers have jumped 112 spots and that is giving our unranked wrestlers in the beginning of the year a 34 ranking. Here is our wrestlers Progression Spratley lost 5 ranking points, Jax gained 24 ranking spots, Vega gained 32 ranking spots, Swid kept his ranking even, Robideau gained 28 ranking spots, Lockett gained 32 ranking spots, Facundo gained 4 ranking spots, Ryder has lost 8 ranking spots, Merril has gained 2 spots and Doucet has gained 3 ranking spots. I would think there has not been any team that has jumped this many ranking spots maybe in the history of wrestling based on Flow ratings. This would be tied mostly to having maybe the greatest class of true freshmen in the history of Division 1 wrestling.

He took the fall, saying that he suggested it to Fix's dad for Derek's own use.
And probably why he should've been let go then. The university isn't paying assistant coach to be recommending supplements to university athlete's parents.

Good stuff!

But, that number isn’t done growing!
