Deep team next year- possible exits?

I realize this is taboo (Dont hate me Sky), but we seem to have a great deal of competition at many spots......FWIW including Hurt below....

Point/Tre,Jordan, Boogie

Perimeter folks/Moore, Boogie, White, AOC, Jordan (at times),Baker, possibly slide Hurt to 3 some....

Bigs/Carey, Hurt, 'Ques, Jav

Now thats 11 who can play I figure if Hurt joins and if you had to pick one to possibly leave to pursue another school or go pro/international please do so.....You know K is not going to play 11.....

With Carey coming in I could see Ques moving on. Don’t think he would transfer but maybe go to the NBA camps and try to improve his draft status. It would be hard for him to compete against a OAD for PT. It should be his show but there will be Co-Directors if he stays. I don’t believe Jav has a choice but to stay or maybe overseas. I hope he stays at Duke for his senior year. We could go really big and strong at times is Coach chose to do so, which he hasn’t in the past. Oh well

Interesting. My hunch would be Bolden if Hurt comes as his minutes would decrease. I know one's a 5 and ones a 4 but it's a numbers game. I hope not because that would make up a little thin in the frontcourt. Hopefully no one transfers. It seems like with Hurt one of Baker or Jack might get squeezed out of the rotation. Goldwire/Boogie is interesting. I know many are high on Boogie but he's a 4 star and may have to wait his turn.

Baker was a 5 star kid, when he was originally in the 2019 class, he would have been rated higher than Wendell Moore (yes, I'm aware Moore is a late bloomer and that probably would have changed.)
I think Baker sees alot of PT this year. Baker didn't come to Duke to be a 4 year guy or to transfer, he came to Duke to prepare for the NBA.

AOC is who I would be worried about, especially if we bring in Hampton. All signs point to Boogie being a gem, so he may get the nod over AOC.
The thing with Alex though, he loves Duke, you can see it through all his social media posts, he is proud to be a Blue Devil. Plus didn't his dad play here?? I just can't see Alex going anywhere.

8 has been enough for the final 4 teams this year so that is the number I think...who those are, no idea. I would hate to see Baker or AOC move on and be stepped over by an incoming player...as a coach that sits poorly with me. I value loyalty. Old fashioned maybe but just part of my coaching values. Until proven not worthy, returning players play.

Ideal would be to get RJ and have Alex or Boogie redshirt. But on 2nd thought I think I'd rather go with who we have. Chemistry and all. Only one ball to go around.

I can see a transfer or two but that depends on Hurt coming. No way can you play 11 guys. Most team only use 8 or 9 players so it's not just a Coach K thing. I like Baker, AOC and Goldwire but I cant see them all staying. I think what Bolden decides to do may make a difference too, ALloyd recruits know the deal when they come to Duke. We will know shortly I'm sure. OFC

Hopefully we can get Bolden and Hurt for next year. But more than that and people will def. transfer. Signing RJ would increase our talent but be a vote of no confidence in the guys we have. Watford seems like he's waiting on Hurt.

There's a wildcard in Cassius Stanley. Apparently the staff is working on getting him to come to Duke. That, I believe is a sign that the staff is aware of someone's departure. Could be nothing though.

Goldwire was not a highly rated recruit, a mid major, and I must assume he knew he'd get limited play. He'll get some time due to his strong defense.

AOC is a legacy, again not really highly rated, and he will be set up for a strong senior year. Can't see him leaving.

The others, who knows. But there are always injuries and the season never plays out the way we expect. Who though Suleiman would be forced out?

I highly doubt we get RJ Hampton this year. If he reclassify I don’t see him coming to Duke. So we might as well move on from that. We got Tre instead of RJ this year. If I had to pick anyone to transfer I would rather Javin leave before Bolden. Boogie should get about 20 minutes a game next year. That kid can shoot. The lineup with he and Tre will be a good lineup especially if Boogie plays defense. It’ll be like tyus and Quinn

Marques, AOC, and Javin may leave. Baker will stay because of his redshirt and him having to sit. Then again, AOC May stay so he can have his own clothing line like Cam did. #CamFam will now be #ReaperWear

The only player i want to see consistently get 30+ minutes a game is tre. Use that bench to your advantage K. If we don’t play the whole starting 5 30+ minutes i think we can keep pretty much everyone.

Land Hurt and I think he starts at the 3 (he sees himself as a 3) with Moore to the 2 but Duke will definitely be deep next season. I predict Duke lands Hurt and Bolden bounces leaving Duke with....

Tre/Moore/Hurt/Vern/Jav

Bench: Goldy/Alex/Jack/Joey/Boog

10 very quality players...Hurt plays some 3/4 Vern plays some 4/5. Bench has a backup PG/ SG/ and wings. Nice blend of vets with freshmen.

RJ Hampton is the BIG Wildcard

Javin's not going anywhere. He is a team player first and foremost. I don't see AOC leaving, he played too much this season. Baker seems like a good sport but I could see him leaving. Goldwire could go. He got a taste of some good PT late this year and may have a hard time sitting next year.

Haha well I just can’t see any of them leaving. Baker didn’t reclassify to come to Duke to transfer. He’s good btw. Goldwire didn’t come to Duke expecting to play a lot and isn’t good enough to transfer. Lol. Bolden isn’t getting drafted. Javin knows his role and is fine with it. Alex out of everybody MAYBE could be the one but i don’t see it man...
