Does Brown have any idea how to stop a QB run? This is embarrassing. This 3 man front defense is a pile of

They clearly watched the uk tape from last year. QB draws / designed runs and passes in the flat - brown still hasn’t figured out how to defend it.
They are murdering our right side. Just continuously pushing the right. We must be weak weak over there.
What I'm seeing is defenders there but missing the tackle. Just then, Abdullah just bounced off the QB.
The 2nd half will tell the tale with whoever has the best adjustments. We got to wrap up on these tackles.

Schrader is playing very well and that has surprised the Cards defense. It's really going to come down to 2nd half adjustments.
We got to send more pressure and bring down Schrader's confidence a bit. We need to focus more on him than Tucker.

****. Grantham at least had guys that would tackle and fly to the ball. These guys just sit back and arm tackle. Really damn pathetic. I’ve seen enough to tell we are gonna have big problems.
We aren’t tackling. We aren’t recognizing Tucker. Our linebackers are too slow and soft. 2nd half adjustments aren’t gonna change much of that.
Is he though? Or is our pathetic defensive scheme making him look significantly better than he really is? I mean Miss St. thought so much of him they made him a wide out. And as any fan knows - they love big QB’s that can run a little.
Yes he is playing well. He's playing with great confidence. Cards have to change that or they will lose. A close game in the 4th quarter and him feeling the pressure can compromise that confidence.
We have no popping of the pads. No push. No linebackers scraping and blowing up the running back. This is really pathetic.

Our best defensive play is the movement and a 5 yard penalty against them.
Soooo effing disappointed. Not one single facet where we don’t look worse than last year. That’s just easier to say, rather than enumerate all the ways we are just as bad as last year where we were bad, PLUS terrible in areas were were decent in last year. The announcers are right; this is the same ole Brown defense and Satterfield offense. What purpose did the DC McGriff and OC Taylor hires serve?
I am surprised they aren’t going for it as bad as we are on defense. We absolutely suck on defense if they don’t fire Brown then CSS’s job is in jeopardy. I don’t see things getting any better on defense he needs to bite the bullet and pull the trigger.
Montgomery is simply not fast enough. Inexcusable that he couldn’t catch up to Schader on that third down.
Yes, the defense isn't looking massively improved but its the Cards offense and the ineptitude of the play calling that's losing this game.
Games are won in the trenches. Louisville was pushed around the entire night on both sides. It was just a ridiculously bad performance.
The staff can’t talk all off season about how good they believe they are then play that bad. That tells me they don’t have high enough standards or understanding what it takes to win at this level.

Our linebackers are too slow and not sure tacklers. Our zone coverage in the secondary is too soft. Our defensive line doesn’t control the line of scrimmage. Add it all up = we suck. It’s year four and we were worse than Syracuse at every position. Syracuse!
MCGriff hired but apparently ignored. Taylor hired but apparently ignored. Were these hires just window dressing?
This team looks just like last year’s team…only worse. Crappy defense and weak, predictable play calling. All week I have been hearing about how the Orange D-line was undersized and inexperienced. Our O-line was gonna push them around unmercifully. And, that might have been the case if we were running straight ahead and blowing them off the ball. But, when you constantly run the stretch zone where everyone is moving laterally then your size is deminished and their speed gains the advantage by filling all the gaps. Poor game plan (well, same old, same old), poor preparation and poor execution. That’s all on the coach.
BTW, I finally gave up and turned off the TV on the 3rd and 25 play where we let them gain 24. Sheesh!!!!!
The most troubling thing is players continue to be out of position or lost. It is pretty amazing when they run the different blitz packages players aren’t in position to cover the hot routes.
You see that when it is a poorly coached but not when they are taught correctly. They may get beat by a good pass and catch but guys aren’t running free. The play where they blitzed perfectly and then no one covered the receiver is a prime example.
Then when they are in zone coverage they have no clue how to cover their zone and pass guys off.
It is ridiculous for it to happen once but there were 4-5 plays where guys were lost. This has happened way too often Brown’s defense.
