It might be me, but it seems like whenever we play a "physical team", they get to mug our receivers. They also have top defenses and rarely get called for PI or holding

Our defense plays off and rarely gets physical with receivers. When they do get physical, it stands out and usually gets called for PI. Been this way for a long time.

Anyone else notice this?

Yeah. I also notice at the end of the game we usually have less points too. But we practice so much better. Been this way for a long time.

Our receivers mug themselves. Saw a receiver of ours in this game pretty much holding himself for 20-30 yards downfield with how he ran his route. I believe it was the play Casey went out.

DeVito only had 7 more passing yards then Casey and obviously devito played the whole game. Our secondary wasn’t the problem today. And out offense was moving the ball on Illinois before the injury. We have no depth at QB and haven’t since Tommy Armstrong was a back up

also Grant out averaged Brown. Take that one with a big grain of salt.

I miss the days of the TMart/Armstrong quality of a combo...

First thing is Nebraska has a secondary more suited for the mountain west not big 10, our safeties aren’t big and physical, second the big 10 allows the holding by defensive backs our receivers have struggled getting open against teams like Illinois and Wisconsin add Iowa to the list
