Third triple option team that Dekalb will see. Can Samson be stopped or will Dekalb take down their second FVC powerhouse?

Cary Grove obviously looked past the Barbs last week. I don't think PR makes the same mistake. Cary ran for over 300 yards, it was their pass coverage and lack of passing game that did them in. Surprisingly, PR has done a good against the pass this year, especially in the playoffs. But they haven't played a receiver as good as Tucker all year. Kyler needs to stay hot and DeKalb needs to do what no one else has done all year. Stop Samson.

I thinking this could be one of the better semis this weekend.

Dekalb has good size and very good speed. Will playing on a sloppy track this week slow either team down?

Dekalbs only losses are to 8A Lake Park and an 11-1 Sterling correct? This should be a very good matchup this weekend. Favorite is still Prarie Ridge in my mind but wow this one could be very interesting!!

Only two teams in the state have a chance to beat Prairie Ridge - Loyola and Glenbard West.

Nobody else has a chance!

I would add East Saint Louis. Too bad PR wasn't in 7A this year. I'd love to see PR run offense vs ESL run defense.

If you haven't heard of SHG, that's a team I wouldn't write off.... They have a few good coaches that come with a win every once in awhile.

Obviously looked past The Barbs? That's rather insulting and dismissive isn't it?

Wasn't meant to be, trying to be sarcastic from the comments made in the DeKalb Hudl thread last week. I have more friends associated with the Barbs and would love to see them in Champaign. But looking at the damage that PR team has done in the playoff is impressive. Going on the road and beating Montini like they did, making Lake Forest look silly. It will be PR;s biggest challenge to date.

They are 1 8a team away from playing glenbard west who has the lowest enrollment in 8a And generally is in 7 a. I don't believe that petition up hype. Who knows why they do it.

Guys,
I don't know where the misconceptions about enrollments come from, but Glenbard has 2150 students - same as LA. It was not a David v Goliath game last week. As a matter of fact, I believe MSouth has a larger enrollment than LA with over 500 kids in their feeder program every year. This doesn't,t mean anything other than at the end of the day, everyone has some sort of adversity on the field.
Happy Thanksgiving.

i viewed hey beer as saying 7A is easy. I was pointing out that if one more team with a bigger enrollment than Glenbard West got in, then Glenbard would be in 7A. That is all. Nothing more or less.

Think Glenbard west is 2307 kids (that's what the announcers said on CSN). They usually the largest school in 7A but sometimes they are the smallest in 8A.
