(CNN) Progressives poured $23 million into Jon Ossoff's campaign. House Democrats' campaign arm sent a team to Georgia to organize the sixth congressional district months ahead of the special election there.

So desperate for just one win the dems spend 23 million on one house race.

The GOP spent just as much. It's one f'n race. Neither outcome affects what will happen in 2018.

At least the local marketing economy is booming.

I thought my point was pretty obvious? I'll try and spell it out a little more. I think both sides were silly to waste that much money on 1 House race.

If the dems win, they will claim the tide is turning, it isn't, and if the repubs win, they will claim vindication, it doesn't. This one election doesn't change anything. I agree.

When 1 side comes in and spends 20 times more on a seat than it typically will the other side has to match it or give up the seat. Running up the cost to win a house seat doesnt do much to help the problems in DC.

"Marshall Mindset".. bbbbbbbut we ALMOST won in Georgia... The socialist definitely know/understand that Americans are sick and tired of ALL OF their harbinger ways to try to harass our 45ths agenda.. Desperate is as desperate does.. The 6th district has been a republican strong hold for a very, very long time..this one should be easy for the patriots to win..

After Ossoff's narrow defeat last time, he called it "A victory for the ages." For real, he said that, out loud. People heard it and wrote it down. Dim pundits explained/defended it. I didn't understand. I must not be enlightened.

7,000 California liberals gave $$$$ to Ossoff...

how is that even legal ?

97% of the money didn't come from Georgia...

how is that any different than Russia influencing an election ?

Did you seriously just compare American citizens in one state giving money to a candidate in another the same as Russia influencing an American election?

What business do people in California have in the election of the representative of Georgia citizens?

That was exactly his point, I believe you missed it.

Umm.....because he asked how people from another state (in the United States) trying to influence OUR government election was any different than Russia (you know.....another nation...try to follow here) attempting to influence our election process. Yeah......idiotic comparison.

Why isn't it the same ?

97% of the $$$$ came from California...

that's much worse than the fake Russia/Trump story...
