Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Celebrated Amazon Pulling Out of New York––But the Governor Says It Cost the City 25,000 Jobs

I don't need to like Jeff Bezos to understand he creates jobs. I would encourage to revaluate his friends though going forward.

As of the end of 2023, Amazon, the company founded by Jeff Bezos, employed approximately 1.525 million people globally.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

• End of 2023: Amazon's workforce reached 1,525,000 employees.
• Peak Workforce: The company's workforce peaked in 2021 with 1,608,000 employees.
• • Growth Since 2018: Amazon experienced significant growth in its workforce since 2018, when the company employed 647,500 individuals.
  • Decrease in Workforce: This represents a decrease of approximately 5.16% from the 2021 figures to those reported for 2023.
