Once again Stoops knows how to read the base. We ask for it and he delivers. The next time I speak with him I’m going to ask him to please do something about the interlocking UK logo and the 2 birds staple remover. Thank God the checkers are gone, now get rid of the rest and bring back our traditional sets.

The checkerboard is a nod to Secretariat.
I wish we still had it.
The denim not so much.

I was fine with it as an alternate. It’s a cool way to bring horse racing into it which we need more of. However, full time bbq picnic table cloth uniforms in our major sports, checkered branding on the courts, practice facilities, university, and uniforms / logos, no. It was way too much and it looked choppy and horrible, especially when they’d use the dark blue and royal blue to do it. It was just hideous.
It’s like the Denim, alternate yes, full time branding no.
What we could do is every game especially in football bring out some horses and run them a lap holding UK flags. Shoot a cannon and wave a white flag or something for an intro. We’ve done something similar but not enough, it would be one of the best intros in college football imo.

I wanted his *** home years and years ago. We blew a golden opportunity to actually compete for an SEC east title just before the NIL began when UT and Florida were down and had this dumbass on the sideline.

UK plays St. John’s in the CBS Sports Classic this year, but going forward, the denim uniforms would be a cool look to bring back for a game at Rupp with Pitino bringing SJU to town.

Here’s the deal on the denim unis. We won a title in these uniforms, with arguably the best college basketball team in history of the sport. Not to mention, Pope was the captain of that particular team. I don’t want it forever or anything. A game here and there wouldn’t be so bad. Even though my wife HATES them and loves the checkerboard. Lulz
