Nike can't control the recruiting aspect (unless you're Duke or Oregon).

Hideous. I hate bangin on our gear but my goodness those things are as ugly as sin itself. I’m sure the recruits will just be drooling over them….not. Cmon UK, let’s get ahead of the times rather than looking like we belong in the 60’s??? Serious buzz kill.

Yeah I agree. Those look like the smell like menthols and mold, but then again I’m probably the weird one…I like the staple remover logo.
I agree that wins are ultimately what matters, but I have an honest question.
Did you say the same thing in the 90s with all the uniform changes including the denim look?
Point is just because the program is doing things for fun like changing the uniform look doesn’t mean they are doing it to cover up subpar performance.

47 here also and LOVED OUR CATS that wore that god awful denim!!! The two aren’t mutually exclusive. now I want to know if we’re gonna wear the hideous denim converse lol shoes to match the ugliest uniforms ever known to man? May as well make em so short that our guys balls hang out of em too!!! You know, just for old times sake!

I like them. I’d like them more if we were kickining major butt in them.
Being the checkerboards are a nod to the horse industry and especially Secretariat I like it on there. Not too much. But the small patch on the waistband was good.
The thoroughbred industry has been great for UK sports and are still where most donor money comes from so let them have a little something.

Our current jersey's are atrociously bland and uninspired and just look goofy. This means that's one less game I have to see them.
I love the current jerseys, mainly for the simplicity. They have a clean modern-classic vibe, where they honor the past while keeping it fresh. The only thing I would change is to add the love-making birds logo point and center BAYBEEEE!
I was 29 during the 96 season, and didn’t like the uniforms then. However, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of our greatest team ever, a one-time deal, against a big rival in UT…I’m ok with it
I absolutely LOVE the denim. Just wish we were doing it for a road game. The blue jerseys looked cooler.

It's funny, they apparently didn't know what they started. I bought a case of them for less than $200 when they came out. I gave them to customers around the state and kept one. I still have mine. I know a few of the ones I gave away are still out there because they are still customers. Those have become quite valuable. I've seen some advertised for $400-500 each. I don't know if they get it. But opening it would destroy all value. For the bottle anyway. It would be worth the price of the bourbon and I would think it tastes the same. What's a regular bottle of maker's go for now, about $30?
A 750ml Makers is less than $25 at the big shops in Louisville.
I'm not a bourbon connoisseur, but Makers is one of my favorites.
I attended a blind tasting once where they had about 10 different bourbons. They had Woodford, Old Forrester, Angels Envy, Blantons, Four Roses and several others. Surprisingly, the majority of the participants chose Makers as their favorite of the bunch.
Makers is legit. The bourbon industry is such a racket. They got people convinced Eagle Rare is a top shelf item
I am a bourbon drinker. Not a lot. But I keep a good stock on hand. I've toured most of the bourbon distilleries. Maker's is by far the best for that. But I don't care for Maker's regular bourbon. I'm not one of those can taste "note" of vanilla, oak, etc. I go by smoothness. I think maker's takes hot. But so does Eagle Rare to me. I do like the Maker's 46. I like Woodford for most drinking. And mixing. A good sipping bourbon, to me anyway, is Basil Hayden 10 year. And it's not terribly expensive.
I do really like the Pappy's. Very smooth. I've had more of the 10 year than anything. But I've had the 12 year and the 15 year. Jullian VanWinkle says his favorite is the 12 year. I liked the 15 year better. On par with Pappy's is IW Harper 15 year. I probably couldn't tell the difference between it and Pappy's in a blind taste test. And it's far less expensive. But it's as hard to find as Pappy's now.
