Huge loss for the whole Louisville community.. Denny was the best and put us on the national radar. We were very blessed to have him as our coach. As good of a coach as he was, he was an even better human being.. RIP Coach thanks for the memories !!

I remembered how nervous I was when this man came to 550 apartments to meet my mom and grandmother. I had a couple coaches come to visit but this visit was different. It was different because my mom and grandmother made him a

cake and that is what made me nervous. I thought to myself there is no way coach Denny Crum is gonna come down to this neighborhood and eat this cake. I remember saying to them. He ain't gonna eat this cake. They responded at the same time "WHO AINT GONNA EAT THIS CAKE. OH HE'S GONNA EAT THIS CAKE"

. They was absolutely right. He ate not one but two pieces of cake with some ice cream and he was licking the spoon. I couldn't believe it.
