I view him now like an SGA light. Shifty and can just find a way to score.
HE IS NOT a super quick guard that is gonna drop a dime for a perfect assist, but these sets Pope is running for him now and how big and shifty he is makes him a nightmare matchup.

I just wonder, am I having blind hope or are these guys starting to believe?

I am happy to eat crow about Pope, one thing the locker room celebration showed me is that they guys love playing for him.
Again 10 percent more defense and we might start blowing teams out.

It’s night and day. He looked pitiful early on. Now he looks like an assassin.

Confidence is a hell of a drug.
He knows what he’s being asked to do now. How could he get in a groove when Pope kept changing the lineups. Players playing three minutes then getting injured. Others sitting the bench then not sitting. Rotation is finally in place for the most part.

He, like most of our players, has been scrutinized heavily, without much acknowledgment from the fanbase the things that make him such a talent. There aren’t many players like him, from the size and positional length, sneaky impressive athleticism, slashing ability, defensive tenacity, positional versatility and fearless perimeter scoring. We all know the things he doesn’t do well, but there are very few teams in college basketball that wouldn’t want a Denzel Aberdeen on their team.

He's turned the corner... needs the ball in the 1st half more. The defense is reacting to what he can do and opens up the game for others.
I think sometimes these young men get stuck between making something happen and letting the game come to them and that can end up with bad results. I also think at times it can “click” in an instance. Hoping that’s what happened for DA.
