They brought up some of his texts that show him saying he takes what he wants from women, etc. lots of vulgar stuff...... and he said those weren't sent by him and someone might have borrowed his phone, LOL.
He said he got a black eye on his honeymoon from Heard on the Orient Express and then they showed him in a picture before getting on the train with the same exact "black eye".
Several other items
He was getting very angry getting caught in lie after lie. (allegedly). It was ugly. His lawyers are horrible.
I wondered who in the world would watch or care about this. I guess I have my answer.

Using lawyers back and forth to dissect every aspect of your life to show you’re both awful is getting away from the original claim. Focus on Amber’s BS claims. Show they are or are not true. That should be it.
They’re going to both be ruined by this.

A jury can easily conclude that he may have hit her during their marriage. They've got undeniable proof of emotional abuse, his anger, drunk and angry before breakfast even started, having to be carried like a baby by his body guards because he was so wasted, admitting to not remember stuff when drunk, etc. Coming to a conclusion that he could have easily blacked out and hit her will be easy. She's a liar, but today he was exposed as just as big a liar. Neither of them deserves a penny from one another yet both are FINISHED in Hollywood. He still has 100 Million and she'll find a rich old man to care for her and her, lol.

this would have been about 10 years ago, but I still remember watching an interview with New Kids on the Block for their reunion tour. 4 of them were dressed like you’d expect a 40 something man to be dressed like in an interview. 2009? He hadn't even started dating her then. So you'e saying his career was on the downtrend before he started dating her and he's trying to blame her for his demise? Drugs and alcohol are the cause for his career going down the drain and that's been proven these last few weeks. He was often late by 5 hours and nobody wanted to work with him anymore.
He was nowhere near the hardcore druggy to include a stint with Oxy when he was with the other women. She may very well have instigated all of it, but he probably hit her back some of the time, even if only once.
I honestly don't care, either. He may well have not ever touched her. But to pound the desk and say "no way he ever hit her" is either being naive, a fanboy or just hating her so bad that you don't care. Doesn't matter. He is ruined for life after today's performance and should have never brought this lawsuit.

This lawsuit / trial has effectively exonerated him from the abuse accusations in the public opinion whether he wins or loses, and has basically already given the major studios a green light to work with him again when this is over. He's going to be working again shortly after this is done.

She never testified that he threw her down the stairs. She said she heard a "vague rumor" of it. It was crappy on her part to go there, but she was saying that he tried to hit her sister on a staircase and she thought about that and stepped in. Again, she's trash but all the social media lies and twisting things around is out of control.
You must not have watched him on the stand today. He'll never get a big job again just based on today.

I actually dislike them both. But it's absolutely amazing how social media has been FLOODED with pro-Depp tweets, etc.and all kinds of flat out disinformation to make him look good and her worse than she is. Many are bots and his people have spent a lot of money flooding social media. He's just not a good person (neither is she) and it's been proven with his own words that even he admitted to saying. All that counts is the jury and there is ZERO chance of them rewarding him. NONE.
He has won in the court of pubic opinion which will save his career. That was the goal all along. She doesn't have $50-100 million to pay him if he wins. She is probably about broke after her legal bills. It's pretty obvious that he is not a wife beater which was the original perception.

I disagree. Amber has been exposed as a liar and a truly awful/abusive person over the two weeks of this trial. Before it was all about him being being a bad guy and her the victim. He will do movies again if he can beat his addiction issues. If not, he may be done.
Ive said multiple times that she’s awful. Doesn’t mean he’s not. He hasn’t been defamed as his career is garbage at this point because if his addiction problems and he’s too much of a loser to just admit it. His own texts make him untouchable other than garbage movies. He’ll be in dive bars with his band more than doing movies going forward.
Depp is getting his face ripped off in closing testimony via his very own words. Sadly, a lot of this is scum lawyers that have goaded him into suing people so they could make money off of him. He's a disgusting human, but none of this had to ever come to light. I guess it's good that it did, though, as maybe he'll finally get clean. Doubt it, though. What public? I heard part of the trial and it is not flattering for Depp. Biden became president after he was repeatedly caught as a liar. And, Hollywood is as dumb as DC. So, he may very well work again.
The only portion of the public that still supports him are his fanboys that don't care what kind of a person he is. I promise you no reputable studio will EVER use him again. He's either a fanboy or has based his opinions on social media, which has been shamelessly flooded by pro-Depp sources.
Reputable studio? This is Hollywood, an industry that gave Roman Polanski an Oscar despite him being wanted for raping a teenager. Then we had Harvey Weinstein who everyone still bowed down to for decades despite knowing what he was.
Depp was considered box office poison forever until Pirates of the Caribbean and after that, short of the Pirate sequels and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I don't think he had any mega moneymakers (not sure what Alice in Wonderland grossed). He will still get roles in art flicks and stuff like that (think The Ninth Gate) but he won't be a leading man for a big box office flick but he will get work simply cause he has the fans to support it. Amber though? Probably not much.
