Kolaravic now 1 at ILB, backed up by Hausman. Would seem Heinrich is on the shelf for the season. Hill now behind Liewer and Brown at WR and 1 at KR. Omar now 3 instead of co-2 with Martin. Hickman no longer on depth chart. Bando and Lutovsky now listed as co-1s are RG. As some predicted, Lutovsky has emerged. Hartzog still on the top line opposite Q at corner.

Thanks for the cliff notes. Good news on Lutovsky. What is the nature of Reimer's injury I wonder.

Forty seven of the fifty-seven offensive and defensive players on the current depth charts are underclassmen. Palmer will definitely leave for the NFL, but the rest should be back.

You would think by now he would jump Benhart who ‘s been brutal..
I’ve been watching Anthony who’s played a lot, and he’s been as bad or worse than Benhart.

Corcoran also struggling mightily at OT, but he may be much more serviceable at Guard though.

People wanna see Banks play more, but I remember he was the exact same as the rest or worse in the spring game (against our less than stellar pass rushers).

It’s a pretty sad situation at OT across the board. There’s no secret talent on our bench. We need a new OL coach, S&C to match and new players. The trifecta approach to fixing a leaky, busted pipeline. Accomplishing that quickly is paramount to having any chance in 2023.

Or the O line coach we have needs more time with the younger so linemen. It might be tough to undo 2-3 years of Austin

I agree it’s hard to judge Raiola in a short time, but we literally have 2 (experienced) former all americans, a couple of 6 year seniors, several more guys with 3 or more years in the program, and have a line ranked near the darkest corner of the basement.
The 100+ teams better than us are not all doing it with superior talent (a decent chunk of those teams also with first year OL coaches I’m sure).
Even if he didn’t get long enough to prove anything, there’s zero chance Raiola will be back.

He's had more than enough time. We have more experience and yet the line is even worse than last year. Raiola blows.

Undoing doodooduval may be just as difficult. I am still on the fence with Raiola. He is a Harry Hiestand disciple, which to me; is a good thing.

I am not certain of that. It isn't great by any stretch but I wouldn't say worse than last year.

Honestly I don’t know enough to evaluate him as a coach. Charlie McBride made the point that Tom always had 2 O line coaches. I don’t get the feeling that McBride thinks the O line struggles are all on Raiola.

I’m sure that you with your expertise as a high school position coach could fix it in a couple of weeks……

I agree. Are we also forgetting that Jurgens left early, Teddy and Nouili are out for the season. This line is a whole lot better with those three.

Are you saying it’s a good thing? Or the fact it’s a roster of mid 3*’s?

He's a super slow WR or a horribly undersized TE. Belongs at the DII level.,
He was jacked around a bit by getting moved back and forth. He should have stuck at TE and tried to build his body in to the spot. He might have played at a MVC school.

Probably not. They tried to put weight on him and it hasn't worked. He was a huge recruiting miss and there was a couple of them that were taken out of the state that probably shouldn't have been offered. Our next coach I hope is a ton better in the recruiting game because although decent on paper, Frost and the coaches did not have an eye for talent. Heinrich is another one. I know hindsight proves everyone correct, but I was never really excited about him. Even in high school he has never had the "speed" he supposedly tested at.

Heinrich is a case of not having what you want (a better guy at that position), but now not having a what you need (his steady play and leadership on the field).
