Bambi is turning into a Stud Buck right before our eyes. He just needs to stop shooting three's because he completely sucks at them and that's not his game.

He’s gonna make a couple WTF plays because he’s completely fearless.
The extra minutes really, really make up for it big time
This is it exactly. Had be been playing more he would be even better today.

He changes everything for our offense. He penetrates and either takes it to the rim or when collapsed on gets it to a shooter. We are a different team with him running things.
This. He’s got a ton of room to go he honestly didn’t even play that great but as @NewJerseyHawk has been saying it comes down to getting someone in at the PG position that can get some offense and give us an element of speed wvee been missing.

It’s what we needed. Looking forward to Simpson developing

first not to be negative, but his shooting % was kinda low, but I said to my wife, he's being aggressive and not FORCING it. second half better results. great game.

During the offseason I hope he shoots 1000 threes a day and get that muscle memory built in. If he can shoot then sky's the limit (NBA). Maybe workout with Cam who is the best shooter we've had since Geoff Billet.

Simpson has many positives to his game:
As said, he penetrates and dishes nicely
so he has good court awareness
He’s fearless and super fast
Solid on defense
In the off season just do two things:
1- get in weight room and get bigger and stronger
2-relentless practice on the jumper to improves shooting stats
Bottom line: Pike found a gem!!

HUGE difference today - he looked for shooters. I'll admit I didn't think he had it in him. Never so happy to be wrong.

Grain of salt - we're over the moon about a player who scored 13 points on 16 shots and 0-4 from 3

His extended minutes allow him to overcome mistakes.
Was it you who said here that Simpson needs to start and have the ball go through him because he can create his own shot and has speed to penetrate and dish?

Glad Pike liked his recent D and scoring well enough to start him. He is going to be a great one, I think.

Simpson is really the only legitimate player we have that take it to the basket. Wether he finishes or passes it off, it helps the offense immensely by allowing for open outside shots. Most of the teams we play have a few guys that can take it to the hole.

First bright spot for this team in 5 weeks.

Even when he went to rim and missed he drew attention, Dickinson had to help and it left Wolf wide open for a follow-up dunk. Really looking forward to his growth at Rutgers.

I like that he learned in game. Took it too deep and got swatted. From then on a short pull-up was money.

36 minutes and never looked like a freshman - nice drives, good pull-ups, active defense/hands and great on the break, plus that follow-up for a hoop on the missed FT was a highlight reel play. Can't wait to see him grow up at RU.

No, I will not take credit for that because in limited play he can be frustrating.
It’s the way way more good that came out after a few bad plays because of his extended time that it became obvious.
Gotta give Hawk the credit

I think you're reading selectively. Maybe you only read a few posters and within that circle Hawk is the one who deserves credit. Across the board, there were quite a few of us who highlighted the importance of DS.

He has elite quickness and hops. When your PG breakaway dunks with two hands, you have a serious athlete on your hands. His touch and short game are evolving too.
