It's a travesty this man is not in the Hall of Fame. The man made the 1980's all decade team is in the Kansas City Hall of Fame, 6 time pro-bowler, with 5 All Pro appearances only one of 26 players to have more than 50 career interceptions. The only reason they could find to keep him out, is that he played on really crappy teams for 11 years.

Chiefs HOF.

The Chiefs were not good back then which makes getting in the NFL HOF very, very difficult.
But I believe he was named all decade or maybe even all half century by the NFL. That IMO is deserving of the HOF.

If he played for San Francisco or Washington in the 80s, he would have been in the NFL HOF decades ago.

Still hard to believe KC did not retire his number.

It should be the other way around when you think about it.

He did all that with not much else around him. To me that says what kind of player he actually was.

All decade yes. Only 2 of the 5 Safetys selected are in the HOF, Ronnie Lott and Kenny Easley.

He may have sold that. He was the 1st minority to own a share of an NFL franchise (Jacksonville) until the current owner bought the group out.

These days I believe he runs a foundation he created, concentrating on charity work.
