Am I the only one who thinks that his promotion to Co-DC kind of makes him the DC in waiting? I had no idea that DJ Eliot was offered or at least talked to another school about a HC position. I kind of was expecting Andy Buh to get a promotion to assistant DC, this move took me by surprise, in a good way of course.

If Eliot moves on, expect Ansley to get the nod as DC. If folks come by and try to poach Buh, expect him to get an expanded role including all linebackers plus ST or something. Anything to raise his salary.

I think Ansley would do incredibly well as a DC. Anything to keep the guy on staff.

Ansley owes Kirby Smart a tip of the hat for that title and raise, looks like Mel Tucker was Smart's guy from the beginning, DB coach from Bama coming over as DB coach and DC being reported my our mods. Ansley's agent Jimmy Sexton?
