I think it will be CU at least before he is 100% on the field.
Damn. I kind of had a gut feeling this was true which is why I started this thread. In all of the articles I have read concerning our defense this Fall it just seemed to me that nobody was mentioning him. That caused me to wonder if his rehab is still an ongoing project...

From Today's presser with Rhule,

Safety DeShon Singleton (knee), offensive lineman Turner Corcoran (foot), and running back Gabe Ervin Jr. (hip) are all “fully integrated” into NU’s summer workouts. He said the trio would also be full-go if fall camp began today.

Wonder if Gabe can stay healthy til September.
With all due respect, if I have a choice who I'd rather see be healthy and stay healthy, I'll take Singleton all day long. Thought he was becoming a real stud last year and was definitely missed.

I wasn't ranking them. I just don't think Gabe can stay healthy. I'm happy to be proven wrong it just seems he's the most injury prone.

Agree. Same thing goes with Corcoran, Teddy, Malachai, Fidone, Blye Hill, etc. We all want all of them to get and stay healthy.

Sucks that what seems to be some of our best players are so often hurt.
I'm amazed that as of last year the pros projected Corcoran as a 2nd or 3rd round pick who could play any of the 5 positions. We've all seen how he's performed and its been dreadful. Thus far, he has been the biggest bust in the OL the last few years.
Hope he makes me eat my words this year.

I would add Rahmir to that list too. When that dude is healthy he has some real wheels. I hope his last year here is a good one for him. We need him. Our running back room is very mediocre.

Rahmir for sure as well as Princewill. NU just needs one of those magical years where key players stay injury-free and guys are all operating at the very top of their individual game. Including the staff.

Who projected Cocoran as a 2nd or 3rd round pick? I don't see that as ever being a possibility.

Thats why I was amazed he was being projected like that, but I did site the source last year when I made those comments. It came from 2 years ago and it mentioned the DE from A & M as well as Casey Thompson, and a couple others.

I'll try to dig it out when I have more time.

If that's one of those "way too early" draft projections, then that would make a little bit of sense. Without watching any tape, Corcoran might have looked the part since he was a former four star who was a multi year starter.
