One of my most recent all time favorite Hawks. Congrats on a great career to him. 7 years in the NFL and $14M made?? Not too shabby.

What a great player and representative of U of I. Can't believe he is retiring already-time is racing by big time. Seems like yesterday he was wearing the Black and Gold.

you'd think that 4 and 5 star high school prospects would be begging Phil to offer

all Phil & Kirk do is make kids rich :)

A couple of interesting Iowa-related notes:

Desmond King and Jaleel Johnson have spent the week with the program informally as interns. Iowa did this 7-8 years ago with Abdul Hodge and Colin Cole.

Noah Shannon is with the program as asst. director of development. He's down about 75 pounds from his playing weight and runs 4-5 miles a day.

One of the best CBs to ever wear the black and gold. His lack of size and speed limited his effectiveness in the NFL. He got eight years in the league. Congrats on a great football career!
I always thought he looked stronger than most CBs. Limited speed, maybe, yeah
