I do feel for the seniors on that team in all honesty. Paige seems like a good kid and those guys are the ones that put in the hard work. It's truly the UNC fans with their arrogance and ignorance that's that reason I hate UNC. While I feel for the players, I'm glad the fans had their hearts ripped out. And when the NCAA comes out with their punishment, I hope their hearts get stomped on after being ripped out from last night. Their fans deserve it (99% of them anyway).

I don't want to be like their fans and completely bash their players beyond the competitive rivalry thing. Unlike them, where their fans will forever be secretly in love with Grayson, I'm not gonna be douchy like that. With that said:

GTHC, GTH!!

The great thing is that they are going to suck next year and into the foreseeable future. They sold their soul to win it this year because they knew this would be it for a while. Love it!! And the way they lost was exactly how I was hoping it would happen. Totally rip their hearts out.

You really think they're going to suck? I've seen so many saying that....and I just don't see it. Sure, Johnson, Paige and James are gone, but the cupboard is hardly bare.

Assuming none of their other guys leave, they will have a core of Berry, Meeks, Jackson, Hicks, Pinson and Britt returning. They also add Bradley in the post, Robinson on the wing and another guard in Woods. Unless I'm completely missing something, at worst that's a top 10-15 team in the country next season.

The only problem with that team is that you are relying on Berry and Jackson for at least 60% of your scoring in my opinion. Those other guys can certainly step up, but who on that team besides Berry and Jackson have proven they can score consistently? Especially in the post.

I do not think they would be a top 10 team next year. That could get worse if Jackson decides to leave.

Priceless! Another shot from same bar. The guy who slammed his hand down and buried his face in his hands makes 2 appearances here also. First , he crosses right in front of camera about 15 seconds in. Check that look of agony on his face. lol. Later , ya see 'im in the back ground. Head down. Tears comin.' Inconsolable. lol. His entire life was invested tonight. Poor bastige. lol

I just saw this same link over at Rupp Rafters and was going to post it until I saw your post. I think the best part might be the 2 girls standing next to each other wearing UNC jerseys and the shorter of the 2 girls instantly starts laughing the moment that Villanova makes the game winning 3 and she continues to laugh while everyone else around her is either in complete shock or crying lol

I agree: they have post depth, but I don't see Meeks or Hicks as being a consistent back-to-the-basket scorer. They can get points off OR and perhaps in transition. Pinson would need to step up. They'll have to rely on jumps from one or two of their returning players, otherwise I see them as probably lingering as a top 15-25 team for the most part. If Jackson leaves, that would sting

Devastated is a good word to describe all of this. My late father in law and DukeSky85's grandpa used to say this while shaking his head slowly when he saw something that he thought was a little silly. He would say " pitiful, just pitiful." So to honor Rupert this is "pitiful, just pitiful." OFC

If they don't lose anyone but their seniors they are not going to suck. They will be much like they were this year. Experienced upperclassmen with talent and one of the freshmen will have an impact. Not FF material, maybe, but suck…..no.

Incredibly awkward. Also Bad Parenting 101, if you ask me.

No kiddin.' This guy posted that thinkin' that others would see it an' see what a great dad he was and how he was teaching his kid a positive lesson an' all that crap but instead he did just the opposite. Misplaced priorities run rampant. I'm not a FB guy but I was tempted to join and respond. Tell that idiot if he wants to impart some valuable info to his son just point to the corruption unearthed at unx. Tell that child this is what happens when adults at an institution of higher learning abandon any sense of ethics in pursuit of athletic glory. Again , "misplaced priorities" and the flagship is Exhibit A. Dollars to doughnuts if he talks about it at all with his son , he calls critics "haters." Those concerned about collegiate corruption and its corrosive effects on just about everything it touches? He terms those "abc'ers , Dookies and Wuffies....all of whom are just jealous of Dean , Roy and the carolina way. What a joke.

I wonder though...if just one of those returnees pulls a TOKOTO??? I am thinking no matter how much preaching is done to the contrary by Uncle Roy(bs"no sanctions against MBB")one kid says we may not even be eligible for the tourney, and takes an early hike..??? I hope Roy comes back, because IMO he called the worst possible D at the end of the game...The irony: Even Pinson was yelling from the sidelines for someone to check Jenkins....Roy snoozes, UNC loses...

I really did say that without thinking. They will actually be pretty good. The season after next will be a different story.

Duke was a top 15 team this season with only Marshall Plumlee, Matt Jones and Grayson Allen returning from a national championship team. (I excluded Amile since he only played nine games.) Our four returnees combined to score 18 points in the championship game....16 of which came from Grayson.

Berry is going to be one of the top PGs in the country next season and an All-ACC performer. Hicks points per minute average was very good....the problem was he didn't play more than 20 minutes per game. I'd be shocked if he's not scoring 14 or so per game. As for Jackson, he's a natural scorer. He scored 12 a game this season as often times the team's third, fourth or even fifth option. I'm for the demise of UNC as well, but I also have common sense. They're going to be very solid next season.
