Danny devito donates 500 k to jersey shore medical center. As a doc in that system I guess it’s a good thing. However, that would be some nice NIL money
Estimated net worth of $80 million.Danny devito donates 500 k to jersey shore medical center. As a doc in that system I guess it’s a good thing. However, that would be some nice NIL money
Would only make sense as spokesperson for jersey mikes to go to a gameWhy would Danny DeVito give NIL money to anyone. Do we know if he is even a sports fan?
Note : Tried to see about getting him to make an appearance at Jersey Mikes this past winter but it went nowhere
Didn't he attend a couple of games this past season?Would only make sense as spokesperson for jersey mikes to go to a game
You know the board would have gone " Nuts" if he did. Even Frasier Crane had an entire thread for football seasonDidn't he attend a couple of games this past season?
A little more important.Danny devito donates 500 k to jersey shore medical center. As a doc in that system I guess it’s a good thing. However, that would be some nice NIL money
And he should attend a football game and definitely a basketball game.and?
Why would Danny DeVito give NIL money to anyone. Do we know if he is even a sports fan?

I tried with the folks I know at Jersey Mikes corporate. They didn't "see" it like we did.Would only make sense as spokesperson for jersey mikes to go to a game
we're you trying to make a point or just stating a fact. Just wondering. What
I agree with your thought but I really didn't see anyone here saying that last part. In fact most replies where in line with your thinking too. This is fundamental to the disconnect between real life and collegiate athletics and underscores what a disaster this whole NIL thing is.
A guy just donated half a million dollars to a hospital. To save lives. To advance lifesaving technology.
And yet there are people who (I assume seriously) are saying "he should give that money to us so we can pay some football players, instead."
The "synergy" between their naming rights at the RAC, their commitment to Danny in their advertising campaign, and his being a Jersey guy would bring a terrific "return on investment" if they brought Danny to the RAC. I mean it would be a "win-win." I really think they should "pivot" on this one. It's not like they'd even need to "think outside the box." Somebody at Jersey Mike's needs to "drill down" on this. OK, I'm running out of corporate buzz words, but this really seemed like a no-brainer last season, I kept expecting him to pop-up at one of the games.I tried with the folks I know at Jersey Mikes corporate. Jeeze, the guy just donated a half mil to a local hospital.
Thank you Danny.
I just assumed @djrc89 was going for the funny but with a straight-line delivery (like a Steven Wright) here? This is fundamental to the disconnect between real life and collegiate athletics and underscores what a disaster this whole NIL thing is.

I'm fine with the conversation when the discussion is giving something back to the place that set you on your way. I did that when I was promoted the first itmeI saw a fair amount of chatter on the Twitter yesterday suggesting that he should have given the money to Rutgers, instead.
I could swear that he did because I was thinking to myself “why” and then I’m like “****. He’s a jersey boy and he’s a sponsor rep.”You know the board would have gone " Nuts" if he did. Even Frasier Crane had an entire thread for football season![]()

The separate foundations is based upon Meridian being a hodgepodge of community hospitals pieced together from successive mergers. And the foundations were very protective when Meridian acquired. The foundations got even more protective when the Hackensack/Meridian merger went through. Hackensacks foundation was not run very professionally. They were more interested in throwing large galas in Lincoln Center than putting that money to use for hospital initiatives. The Hackensack-Meridian structure is a bit odd. They have separate foundations for each hospital but the hospitals are part of Hackensack-Meridian.
The guy in charge of fundraising overall for them is Rich Knupp who some of us would know from RU Athletics as well as Rutgers Business School. Good guy.
Edit: fact-checked myself. Rich is responsible for the “north” fundraising. Not all of it.

I know Kelsey was there (and they're not exactly easy to confuse, LOL!). Pretty easy NOT to confuse the 2 of them lol! It was a game I was watching from home and I could swear the announcers pointed him out over in the corner by 118 but maybe I was just imagining things.no, it was Kelsey Grammar, raised by his grandparents in NJ.
Danny Devito has not, yet, been to JMA or a football game. But having the Jersey Mike's spokesperson show up at Jersey Miike's Arena is really a no brainer.

In truth Kelsey Grammer was there more so hawking his microbrew than as a sports fan. He's been making the rounds of local establishments for a while now trying to get the word out to drum up business for his new venture.I know Kelsey was there (and they're not exactly easy to confuse, LOL!). Yup. That's how I met him in Hoboken. Really cool guy, actually! In truth Kelsey Grammer was there more so hawking his microbrew than as a sports fan. He's been making the rounds of local establishments for a while now trying to get the word out to drum up business for his new venture.
You made me look up Devito on Wikipedia to confirm that he didn’t attend RU.Danny devito donates 500 k to jersey shore medical center. As a doc in that system I guess it’s a good thing. However, that would be some nice NIL money

Is "He should donate to us so football players have some nicer weights to lift or get UberEats" a better use of the funds?
Or "he should use that money to get a closer parking space for 6 games"?
It's not NIL but college athletics as a whole seems to be the disconnect.
well just supports why I don't tweet... check.I saw a fair amount of chatter on the Twitter yesterday suggesting that he should have given the money to Rutgers, instead.
