One of the worst parts of this is, I really like Diaco and think he could do well here. I just don't think he gets a shot now. Can't blame the defense this week.

If you knew before the game the D would give up 7 pts p, we would be thinking blowout. This was on OL and Lee they sucked
The defense failed the only time we had a lead and NIU needed a score.
I agree.. I see potential with Diaco. Should have been the man 3 years ago rather than Banker. Could you imagine Diaco in year 3 rather than only 3 games in? Unfortunately our offense will cost every coach their job.
Exactly, not to mention they were barely on the field in the first half due to two pick 6's and NIU's offense was about as pathetic as ours.
Can't blam the defense other than when we needed a stop, the defense looked like butter to a hot knife. That no ill TD drive was the only time I recall them throwing downfield. That is where Oregon torched us until they quit throwing downfield in the 2nd half. Would not be surprised to see teams that are not very good passing hold those downfield passes in their back pocket until needed at the end to beat us.
