According the Husker Online podcast it is believed that Avante is down to us and Oregon with Minnesota on the outside. Have to like our chances if it’s between us and the Ducks.

Better late than never. He has to see that we’re thin in the DB underclassmen dept.

So Oregon currently has 3 4 star DB commits in this class and DB coach is Rod Chance who moved from Minnesota 2/20 so AD has that connection to the Ducks. They did recently lose their DC to be HC at Boise so perhaps that upheaval could be a factor.
By comparison, Huskers currently have 2 DB commits, both 3 star, one being Bretz, his teammate at Omaha Westside. Like our chances.
