My biggest question is who's the party pushing for a change? Is it the administration? The AD? A few key big-money boosters? The rank-and-file members of the fanbase?
Whoever is responsible for trying to push Miles out the door, I've haven't seen a more deranged and ungrateful bunch of lunatics than the buffoons in Boston who wanted Theo Epstein and Terry Francona replaced.
I think Les Miles biggest problem is Nick Saben. The success of Saban irritates them and Miles lack of success against him is what the main driving force behind the change. They want someone who they perceive can go toe to toe with saben
If that's true, then they're being foolish because Saban's success at Alabama is a standard NOBODY can meet--not even an excellent program like LSU.
The more appropriate comparison for Miles would be not to what Saban has done at Alabama, but rather what Nick did in Baton Rouge. In that respect, Les actually has been better.

Seriously, that's exactly it - being dominated by Alabama for too long (which who hasn't in the SEC in recent years). Too bad for Miles, but if he still wants to coach, somebody will get a great leader.
