let me take a wild guess here. DePaul looked quick and athletic and played a very aggressive "in your face" man2man defense on our guards. BMac and Lindsey did not show the quickness or ability to take advantage of this by blowing past their defender on an individual move / effort and score closer to the rim. Lots of late in shot clock forced shots as a result leading to their horrendous shooting percentages.

Pretty close to the mark?

Right on BMac. Completely wrong on Scottie.

The opening ten minutes of the game felt like a practice shoot around. DePaul stepped it up at the end of the first half. NU stepped it up about five minutes into the second half. It was very exciting once NU got the lead with about 7 minutes left.
