Didn't someone predict that we would bat .330-.360 this year as a team? Well,

whoever it was is not a hitting officianado. Pitching it pretty good through 5, just can't hit. If it is not one it's the other with a Polk coached team. Damn shame that we (MSU) just seem to be complacent with our program.

It started out as .360 and then changed to .330. Either way it was absurd. I'll be surprised if we end the season with a higher average than last season, much less a .330 average.

We batted .316 last year. If we could match that this year, it would be an outstanding year for us at the plate. I do think we'll be a pretty decent offensive team if Turner can get himself healthy and back to anywhere near the way he played last year. But I'm sticking with my preseason prediction of .305, which coincidentally is exactly what we're batting heading into today's game (and yes it is just a coincidence).
