I think digging up old threads can be very beneficial if used properly. I have seen a lot of guys, one in particular, who writes something and as time passes, denies it.

You could find the thread (which you did) then copy the post and include it in your response. It would be a better use of your time and the board space.

Seriously, why does it concern you how someone else chooses to spend their time? I mean, older guys spending time discussing HS football is likely not the most productive way for anyone to spend their time. Other than paid sports journalists like Edgy. But we all have apparently found some level of interest in it.
