We use Farmers Dog as well and have no issues. Our dogs love it. Our vet recommended it. Reddit certainly is one source to check out but it wouldn't be what I solely based my decision on. Many things I checked gave Farmers Dog great reviews. our vet recommending it was the final push for us to try it.Always check Reddit. I think Dinovite is reputable, but holy ****.. there's sooo many pet companies out there just looking to take a pet lovers money.
My wife was hell bent on finding some gourmet type food for our bichon/pom mix. She saw "Farmers Dog" on social media and of course it began popping up all the time. I could tell she wanted to try it, and decided to check Reddit. Horrendous reviews, nothing certified or proven, people's dogs getting sick on it.
One comment that stuck out to me: "anyone can advertise a product on social media, it's the cheapest medium out there".. and once you remember that, you realize how much garbage is being peddled on Facebook and twitter.
That wasn't the only thing we considered. We looked at other things to determine whether Farmers Dog was a good choice including this link. Every source we checked had reviews of 4.5 stars and up.
Vets don't study much nutrition in vet school. See who donates the most $ to vet schools and see what food most vets recommend. Learn to read labels.
Great minds think alike, but fools seldom differ.Saw that coming as soon as I read the thread title.
