It just disgusts me to no end to see 13-loss teams like N.C. State, Texas, Oklahoma State, Xavier, Indiana, and UCLA in the tournament, and it would disgust me even if Murray State had not been left out. It just makes it more offensive that they left Murray State out of the tournament.

Do you think for a moment that an SEC team with 13 losses would EVER get into the Big Dance ? Not on your life ! ! !

didn't they take some heat in the last few years for letting in too many mid majors, from the Missouri Valley and the like?

seems like they went the other way this year

One of the CBS guys made a point of the favoritism shown to the Big 5 teams. It's funny because not that many years ago they were saying mid-majors deserve more consideration. Yet they make a 30-3 N Iowa team who won the MVC tournament a 5. I thought they deserved a 4, if not even a 3. NC State and Xavier are the only two of the teams you listed I thought deserved a bid.

It's sort of a self-fulfilling prophecy. When it's decided at the start that a conferences like the Big 12 and 10 are the best then as long as you lose your games in conference play it just doesn't matter. I don't even think KU deserved a 2.

I swear the tourney is geared towards underdogs....I think nc state could make a run. But UK hopefully is going to break that cycle of underdogs making it far in the tourney.

I guess Xavier got rewarded for losing to Auburn.

In 07-08 we got in with only 18 wins and a first round loss in the SEC tournament. But, I agree that it is a joke to see IU, UT, and especially UCLA in. I am shocked that UConn didn't get in since it was obviously based on name recognition.

Who do you put in over IU, Texas and UCLA? Old Dominion, Temple, Colorado ST, or Murray ST?

It seems like if you played a tough schedule you got rewarded on the bubble.
